Privacy Policy

Last updated: 20 July 2026

Code Deck is a companion app that remotely controls the Code Deck desktop application running on your own computer, over your own network. This policy explains how the app handles your information. In short: we do not collect, store, or transmit any of your data to us or to any third party.

Data we collect

None. Code Deck has no developer accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party tracking SDKs. We (the developer) never receive your data.

Information stored on your device

To connect to your computer, the app stores the following locally on your device only (in the iOS Keychain and app preferences):

This information is sent only to the server you specify (your own computer). It is never sent to us. Removing the app deletes it.

Network connections

The app connects directly from your device to the Code Deck desktop app on your local network (or a host you specify), over an encrypted TLS connection secured by a certificate you explicitly trust. It does not connect to any servers operated by the developer. The Local Network permission is used solely to reach your computer on your network.

Microphone

If you grant microphone access and use the voice feature, audio you record is sent to your own desktop app for transcription and typed into your session. Audio is used only for that purpose, is not retained by the app after sending, and is never sent to the developer or any third party.

Children

Code Deck is a developer tool and is not directed to children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new "last updated" date.
